    SHOTBLASTER

    Vacancies arise on occasion for experienced shot blasters to join our team. All work is undertaken in house in an automated recovery room. You will be supplied with all the correct PPE including air fed helmet. Tanks and vessels due for processing are required to have all paint coatings removed prior to thorough inspection to expose any hidden corrosion. Substrates are normally blasted to SA 2.5 and on occasion a surface profile is required to be met for compliance with paint coating specification. Experienced of screw shot recovery systems and pressure pot systems and valves would be an advantage along with experience of the environment you are expected to work in. The role will differ from site work but time served experience shot blasters with good knowledge of the industry and equipment will be at an advantage. A level of literacy will be essential in order to use surface profile gauges, record data and follow procedures.

    Hours; 40 per week with shifts available to suit. Salary staring at £19k per annum, with possible overtime available. Candidates will be required to undertake a shot blasting test.

    PAINTSPRAYERS

    From time to time we have opportunities for experienced industrial paint sprayers to join our team. Where coatings cannot be mechanically applied to refurbished tanks, skilled sprayers are required to apply the coating. These can be a 2 or 3 coat system applied using electrostatic, airless, and airless air assisted spraying units. Familiarity with 2 pack coating systems would be advantageous. You will be required to maintain operation of the equipment and the spray booth with a focus on cleanliness and housekeeping. Experience of use and servicing of this equipment is advantageous.

    All necessary PPE is provided through the use of the latest air assisted spraying masks. You will not be required to work off site. The majority of the spray work is undertaken in our spray booths applied to tanks and large vessels. All surfaces are pre-treated by Shot blasting to SA2.5, to our customers’ requirements or our internal procedures. To meet specific paint application parameters you will need to have experienced in the use of paint thickness meters and climate parameter gauges and be diligent with the recording of the relevant data. You must be thorough with a focus on the quality of the finished product whilst being able to maintain a consistent output of work.

    Hours; 40 per week with shifts available to suit. Salary staring at £21k per annum, with possible overtime available. Candidates will be required to undertake a spraying test

    CAD TECHNICIAN

    A position has become available for a CAD technician familiar with AutoCAD packages including Inventor. Any experience in a mechanical engineering environment or qualifications in higher education would be an advantage.

    The company is developing new technologies for hydraulically testing various pressure receptacles and refining techniques and methods in anticipation for the  erection of a new building dedicated to pressure vessel refurbishment. We are endeavouring to become cutting edge with automating the process as far as possible. You will be involved with design, of new equipment from individual items to assemblies.

    The company has discovered a new market within the gas cylinder industry and is going to add an additional arm to the business.

    Knowledge of the following would be an advantage:

    • Autodesk Inventor
    • AutoCAD
    • Integration between the drawing packages and CNC machines
    • An excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages
    • Familiarity with

    The position is open to an experienced individual or a graduate/student looking to progress in the industry and further their career and technical competence.

    Salary: minimum £20k per annum.
